This is from today's Sunday School materials concerning the birth of John the Baptist. Okay, what's wrong with this picture? Hint: it has nothing to do with the little name-tag with "Leo" on it. Bonus hint: the good sisters of the CSPP might be able to provide the answer...

You Pharisee! Where in the Bible does it say that St. Elizabeth didn't opt for Similac?

Pr. Curtis,
That was what I thought (not in those exact words) when Anna handed me her papers after Sunday school today. I made up for it by nursing the baby to sleep during the sermon (not as some sort of revenge against CPH - she was just tired).

The irony was not lost on my wife who was nursing one baby while the other was applying stickers.
She probably just pumped a bottle so the Z-man could take a night feeding.
One way to avoid these weird intrusions into the truth and the way of life and whatever else, is use the materials from Pax Domini press. They are excellent, beautiful ecclesiastical art, theologically correct, either historic or three year lectionary and priced right to boot. CPH has a way to go to get back to true Lutheran materials and not pan-Protestant ones. Why is there this need on the part of baby-boomers to "dumb" things down and to sanitize them? Makes us older folks look so stupid and shallow.
were going to? what did they have instead?
